As part of my 20 year PR practice, I've written, designed and put together hundreds of "presentation folders". With different inserts, they can serve multiple purposes from Press Kits, to New Client and Investor Packages.
Generally, they feature brochures or "pictures" in one pocket (for those who take in information "visually") and written stories, bios, press clippings and other facts in the other pocket (for those who still prefer the power of the written word).
If done properly, they summarize (in one hefty, impressive package) your whole brand image and company story. They are the most valuble sales tool you have in securing press coverage, new clients, dealers and/or investors. They are the first impression you make and the last item you leave behind as a retention piece.
A good presentation folder pulls together all your different marketing materials into one complete picture which you can present to potential customers, current clients or anyone who says "send me something on your company".
